Futuro Semplice
The future tense is used to express:
- an action that has not yet taken place, which will take place in the future –> L’anno prossimo lavorerò in Italia. [Next year I will work in Italy.]
- a hypothesis or supposition, when making a guess about something –> – Che ore sono? – Saranno le otto e mezza. [- What time is it? – It maybe/probably is half past eight.
To conjugate a verb in the future, remove the –are/-ere/-ire from the infinitive form and add the appropriate ending.

NOTA BENE:
The futuro semplice is not always used in spoken Italian, where it is often replaced by the presente.
Domani scrivo una mail alla dirigente. [Tomorrow I will write an e-mail to the director.]
Tra qualche settimana finiamo di lavorare a questo progetto. [In a few weeks we will stop working on this project.]
